For years, a majority of the DH pros in the World Cup have been riding with Mallet DH/Race pedals. Now crankbrothers has updated the proven design in a way that is reminiscent of the Mallet E. Beveled edges give more ground clearance, and the ribbed body provides more grip when unclipped. Added to this are the ” Traction Pads” : exchangeable rubber plates with which the shoe and pedal can be brought to an optimum fit. The number of pins – 8 per side – and the four-sided click-in mechanism have remained unchanged.
